Lining up some of the best drums to come out of the Tama workshop, the shells included in this three-piece are the result of decades of experience. The Tama TB30CZSS STAR Bubinga Set is part off the acclaimed Starclassic Series, so every shell features walls made of five layers of high-quality bubinga wood, completing an ultra-thin profile of just 5 millimetres. The result is unbelievably focussed resonance and, to reinforce the build and support accurate tuning, an extra inner later of cordia wood has been added to the mix.

The core sound of the Tama TB30CZSS STAR shell set is ultimately shaped by the use of bubinga wood, which has a naturally rich and incredibly dynamic response, and deep and round tonal warmth framed by impressive, pronounced and full bass frequencies. Both the 12 inch and 14 inch toms sing with punching projection, while the tighter-than-average 20 inch kick drum packs a hefty low-end, making it sound far bigger than it actually is. Each shell comes finished with 9 millimetre thick Tama Sound Focus Rings and Tama has also kitted out this set with the Super Resonant tom mount system; Quick-Lock Tom Brackets; a set of floor tom legs fitted with hollow rubber feet to reduce vibrational loss; Die-Cast hoops; Hold-Tight rings and a pre-installed pack of professional Remo drumheads. This elegant three-part wonder also comes coated in a stunning Sunset Australian Acacia Burst finish.
